We all are home, yippee! and exhausted. It was 9 weeks to the day since Preston walked out this house. We are sad he could not walk back in. It was hard for the EMS people to get him up all of the steps and into the house. We have a 15 ft. ramp that has been given to us, and all of the wood from another ramp, but we have to find someone to haul this for us. We need one really bad. In 1 week I have to take him to the surgeon's office, and will have to get the ambulance to take him. It would be too hard to get him in and out of our car right now. He has been smiling a lot since he got home. I think he is very happy to be home.
Our house is crowded, but it is worth it. We have the hospital bed in the living room so Preston can be with us. Under his bed is boxes of his formula to feed him, syringes, etc. etc. The hospital was so good to us. They gave us diapers, pads, disposable chucks, mouthcare supplies, syringes etc. Everyone was so sweet and had gotten to know us. They wanted to say goodbye to us, and wish us well.
Home Health will be starting tomorrow. I am not sure when the therapists will start yet.
I will write more in the next couple of days. I want to shower and go to bed.
Keep praying for us, and for Preston's recovery.

I'm so happy you're home! It is going to be nice to have everyone under one roof and comfortable. I'm sure this will help with Preston's recovery.
