This is the only way it would let me post :(

Here it is December, where has time gone. I just realized this a.m. I have not posted pics of our new home, where we moved to in May. I am really bad at blogging now :( Preston is doing great! He did have a cold, but other than that, he is doing well! We are so thankful for that.Missie loves Union Bible Academy. She has moved into the dorm so she won't have to drive 1 1/2 hrs/day and during winter it would have been hard. She loves living in dorm and having her friends there. She is in choir and absolutely loves that and travels when they travel. She is maintaining a B average, and that is great! It was a big switch to switch from ACE cirriculum to textbooks, but she has done very well. We love our home, and spending our first holidays in it! Will post some pics.

Gallbladder!

Oh my, facebook has taken over my blog, I post all my updates there, and hardly ever blog anymore. But decided in case someone who likes to read my blog that does not have facebook, that I would update.

Preston had been having pains in his side for a while. We knew back in SC that he had gallstones. So a while back we had exrays and a scan done on his gallbladder and they couldn't even see it. Now we know why! Well, about a month ago, the pain got worse, and for 2 nights he hardly slept. The dr. did blood work and it showed an elevated white blood cell count. The pain subsided but then came back and the dr. had a CT scan done and they saw an abnormal gallbladder. So the dr. sent him to a surgeon and she set the appt. for him to have it removed. She hoped she could do it laparoscopic but alas, she couldn't. She came out of the OR to tell us all the scar tissue from previous surgeries were giving her a fit and she couldn't even find his gallbladder or liver, and had to cut him open. Well, she did that, and his insides were smashed together, and the gallbladder when she found it, was real thick and inflammed. She tried to remove it but had to leave a small piece and also the duct. That means he could get gallstones again. We pray he will not. The surgery took about 6 hrs. She stitched the end of the duct closed, but didn't know if the stitches would stay or not. She put a drain coming out of his tummy into a little bag so she could watch the fluid and be sure it wasn't bile. Well, when he went back for his post op appt. there was some green fluid and she was afraid it was bile. Preston wanted the drain tube OUT that day, and she was afraid to take it out. So the next a.m. he went to Indy and they were gonna put a stent in. Well, they put him to sleep and got down in there and realized he didn't need a stent, so he didn't have to have it. Anyhow, he was a bit disorientated and confused while in the hospital and didn't hardly get any sleep, so they let him come early and he did much better. He is doing so well, and bouncing back. He has lost about 17 lbs. since it all started. I am glad it is over, just hoping new problems don't arise in the future due to the piece of gallbladder and the duct that couldn't be removed. But I have to leave it in God's hands.

We love our new home, it is such a blessing. We are so thankful for the job Jr. has now and our new home. God has been so good to us. We basically had to start over when we left SC to move up here, to have a holiness high school for Missie. She only lacks 1 credit to graduate from high school, and she was even behind when we moved up here. She has applied to UBC in Westfield about 45 min. from here to finish her high school, and take college courses as well, starting next month. She is very excited about this. She will live at home this coming school year and drive back and forth. She wants to get her Missionary Nursing degree (missionary & RN). She has such a big heart and loves people and has helped take care of Preston since she has been old enough. She will make a wonderful nurse. She currently works at Dairy Queen and loves her job! It is hard to believe she is 17 years old now.

So that is the latest from the lives of the Watsons. Hope things stay calm and Preston will stay well for a very long time.

Hey Norma, I tried to look you up on FaceBook, but your name is NOT unique! send me an invite! I'm cindy owens garman in milford, OH.

I check your blog periodically to see how the 'kids' are getting along. I see that Missie is growing up to be quite a beautiful young lady! I'm glad the move worked out so well for your family.
